মার্চ,২০২৪ :-  ক্যালকাটা জার্নালিস্টস্ ক্লাব আয়োজিত সপ্তম আন্তর্জাতিক আলোকচিত্র প্রদর্শনী হয়ে গেল ইন্ডিয়ান কাউন্সিল ফর কালচারাল রিলেশনস্ -  আইসিসিআর এ। এবারের প্রদর্শনীতে দেশ বিদেশের ১৭৯ জন আলোকচিত্রীর তোলা ৪৩৯টা আলোকচিত্র প্রদর্শিত হয়। প্রদর্শনী ছাড়াও ছিল প্রতিযোগিতা। তিনদিনের এই প্রদর্শনীর শেষ দিন ১৭ মার্চ রবিবার, পুরস্কার বিতরণ করা হয়। বিজয়ীদের হাতে পুরস্কার তুলে দেন অভিনেত্রী ও নৃত্যশিল্পী ইন্দ্রানী দত্ত, আশা অডিওর কর্ণধার দিব্যেন্দু শেখর লাহিড়ী ও সমাজকর্মী সুদীপ্ত  ব্যানার্জী। ওয়াইল্ড লাইফ, নেচার অ্যান্ড ল্যান্ডস্কেপ, পিপল অ্যান্ড স্ট্রিট ও মোনোক্রোম - এই চারটে বিভাগের প্রথম থেকে দশম স্থানাধিকারীকে পুরস্কৃত করা হয়। ওয়াইল্ড লাইফ বিভাগে প্রথম পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন কৃষ্ণেন্দু ভট্টাচার্য্য। নেচার অ্যান্ড ল্যান্ডস্কেপ বিভাগে প্রথম হয়েছেন নেহা শর্মা। পিপল অ্যান্ড স্ট্রিট বিভাগে প্রথম স্থানাধিকারী জিষ্ণু বসাক। মোনোক্রোম বিভাগে প্রথম হয়েছেন ডঃ মণিদীপ্ত সাহা। চারটে বিভাগের সেরা ছবিগুলো নিয়ে 'সেরার সেরা' পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন উদয়ন জোয়ারদার। এছাড়া দর্শকদের ...

ডিজিটাল ডেস্ক:-  বছরের  অন্যান্য পবিত্র দিনের মতো জন্মদিন একটা পবিত্র দিন। "আলো"সমাজের কিছু আর্থিকভাবে পিছিয়ে পড়া মানুষদের  পাশে সবসময় এগিয়ে আসে।আলোর এই কর্মকাণ্ডেও এগিয়ে আসে অনেক মানুষ বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে। ঠিক সেই সন্ধিক্ষণে দক্ষিণ ২৪পরগনার বাসন্তীর মাটগরান অন্তর্গত শ্রী গুণধর জানা ও অপর্ণা জানার সুযোগ্য পুত্র শ্রী অলকেশ জানা ও তাঁর সহধর্মিণী মালবিকা জানা মাইতি এগিয়ে এসেছেন  গরীব মানুষের পাশে।শ্রী অলকেশ জানা তাঁর জন্মদিনে এই গরীব মানুষদের ও  পথ শিশুদের  পাশে এসে দাঁড়ালেন  খাদ্য, বস্ত্র  সামগ্রী নিয়ে। প্রসঙ্গত উল্লেখযোগ্য বছরে ওনাদের উপার্জনের একটা অংশ প্রতিমাসেই এই গরীব মানুষ ও পথশিশুদের জন্যে খরচ করে থাকেন কখনো রোগীদের ফল,শীতকালে কম্বল,শিশুদের বই পত্র,খাদ্য সামগ্রী নিয়ে। তাঁদের এই সেবামূলক কাজ প্রধানমন্ত্রী স্বচ্ছ ভারতের কাজের একটা অংশ মাত্র।তাই আলোর পক্ষ থেকে  সম্পাদক শ্রী প্রবুদ্ধ রায় তাদের আন্তরিক ভাবে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়েছেন।

সপ্তর্ষি সিংহ, কলকাতা:-  দু বছরের শিশুর হটাৎ করে খিঁচুনি ও অজ্ঞান হয়ে যাওয়ার পিছনে কারণ হিসেবে দেখা যায় শিশুর ব্রেইনে একটি শিরা ফুলে রক্তপ্রবাহ বন্ধ হয়ে গেছে। চিকিৎসকরা তড়িঘড়ি ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ অস্ত্রোপচার ছাড়া ক্রিটিকাল কেয়ারের মাধ্যমে কিভাবে সুস্থ জীবনে শিশুটিকে ফিরে আনা যায় সেই চেষ্টা করেন অভিজ্ঞ শিশু বিশেষজ্ঞরা।   কলকাতার অন্যতম বেসরকারি সুপার স্পেশালিটি CK বিড়লা CMRI হাসপাতালের অভিজ্ঞ চিকিৎসকের তত্বাবধানে মায়ের কোলে ফিরে গিয়েছে দু বছরের শিশু। কনসালটেন্ট ডিপার্টমেন্ট অফ নিউরোলজির চিকিৎসক দীপ দাস টিম গঠন করে চলে পেডিয়াট্রিক নিউরোভাস্কুলার সার্জারি।  এই টিমে ছিলেন ডাঃ রুচি গোলাশ, ডাঃ শৈলেশ কুমার, ডাঃ জিকে প্রুসটি ও CMRI এর হেড সোমব্রত রায় সহ অন্যান্যরা। বৃহস্পতিবার এক সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনে শিশুর সফল জীবনে ফিরে আসা ও চিকিৎসকদের ভূমিকা তুলে ধরা হয়।

সপ্তর্ষি সিংহ: সর্বভারতীয় স্তরে ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের মেডিকেল ও ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং প্রবেশিকা পরীক্ষায় বাংলা মাধ্যমে স্টাডি ম্যাটেরিয়াল প্রকাশ করল আকাশ বাইজুস। বৃহস্পতিবার দক্ষিণ কলকাতার আকাশ বাইজুস স্টাডি সেন্টারে চলতি বর্ষের ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের জন্য নতুন স্টাডি বুক উন্মোচন করা হল।  এই বিষয়ে ন্যাশনাল একাডেমিক ডিরেক্টর- নিট ডিভিশন নবীন কার্কি বলেন, “বহুদিন ধরে  শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে বাংলায় কোনো জাতীয় ব্র্যান্ড থেকে উপযুক্ত স্টাডি ম্যাটেরিয়ালের চাহিদা ছিল কারণ অনেক শিক্ষার্থী বাংলায় নিট (ইউজি) দিতে উৎসাহী।'  গত বছর, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ থেকে ১,০৪,৯২৩ জন শিক্ষার্থী নিট দেওয়ার জন্য আবেদন জানিয়েছিলেন।এই বিষয়ে সেন্টারের শিক্ষক নিলয় গায়েন জানান, উড়িষ্যা, ঝাড়খন্ডে পড়িয়েছেন কিন্তু বাংলায় ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের পরীক্ষা দেওয়ার উৎসাহ বেশি। গত বছর বাংলা মাধ্যমে ব্যাচ ছিল ২০০০।  নিট পরীক্ষা প্রস্তুতির সময়সীমা ১ বছর। এই বছর ২৬/৩০ হাজার পরীক্ষার্থী বাংলা মাধ্যমে নিট পরীক্ষা দেবে বলে জানিয়েছেন। রাজ্যের ছাত্ররা কতোটা উৎসাহী হবে এই প্রসঙ্গে উল্লেখ করেন, বাঁকুড়া, শিলিগুড়ি, বারাসতে সেন্টার রয়েছে ফলে জেলা...

ডিজিটাল ডেস্ক :-  চণ্ডীতলা প্রম্পটার-এর প্রযোজনায় ২৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি গিরিশ মঞ্চে, মঞ্চস্থ হয়ে গেল নাটক মুক্তিসূর্য ক্ষুদিরাম। ভারতের স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামে বিপ্লবী ক্ষুদিরামের ভূমিকা, অবদান, আত্ম বলিদানের কথা আমরা সকলেই জানি। এবার তার জীবনের ঘটনাকেই নতুন আঙ্গিকে তুলে ধরা হল।  এ নাটকে উঠে আসে তিন বয়সের  ক্ষুদিরাম। নাটকটির নাটককার প্রদীপ রায়। নির্দেশনায় শ্যামল সরকার। প্রদীপ রায় এর কথায়, স্বাধীনতার ৭৫ বছর উপলক্ষে তিনি এই নাটকটি নির্মাণ করেছেন। বললেন, 'বাচ্চারাও যাতে এর থেকে অনুপ্রাণিত হয় সেজন্য তিন বছরের ক্ষুদিরামকে তুলে ধরেছি এই নাটকে'। বিরতিহীন ১ ঘণ্টা ৪০ মিনিটের এই নাটক মন ছুঁয়ে যায় দর্শকদের।  সকলের অভিনয়ই বেশ সাবলীল। ভালো লাগে ছোট ক্ষুদিরামের চরিত্রে অর্ণব পালুই, কিশোর ক্ষুদিরামের ভূমিকায় নীলাদ্রি রায় এবং পরিণত বয়সের ক্ষুদিরামের চরিত্রে সত্যম ঘোষের  অভিনয়। অন্যান্য চরিত্রে ছিলেন আরত্রিকা চৌধুরী, অন্বেষা মুখার্জী, তমসা ঘোষ, অরূপ চৌধুরী, কৃষ্ণেন্দু ভট্টাচার্য, আদিত্য নারায়ণ ভট্টাচার্য্য, প্রদীপ রায়, দেবজ্যোতি রায়, সম্প্রীতা চক্রবর্তী, অয়ন রা...
